TazTag to Showcase TazPos Payment Terminal with Suprema ID BM-Slim2 Fingerprint Module at GITEX 2017

Seoul, Korea, OCT 10, 2017 – TazTag, a leading global provider of biometric solutions, today announced that the company introduces the new TazPos device, a ruggedized EMV certified payment terminal at GITEX 2017 exhibition in Dubai.

Powered by Suprema’s latest BM-Slim2, a FAP 20 fingerprint authentication scanner module, the new TazPos provides unrivalled fingerprint authentication performance along with a loads of industry-leading features including smartcard/magnetic strip/barcode reader, NFC/Bluetooth/Wi-Fi connectivity and rugged housing covered by 5.5-inch Gorilla Glass LCD.

On the biometric side, Suprema’s BM-Slim2 offers unrivalled level of security with the industry’s most advanced Live Fingerprint Detection (LFD) technology. With the emergence of mobile authentication in worldwide Telco industry, LFD becomes critical feature to improve the reliability of fingerprint database and therefore better fulfill government regulation request. The BM-slim2 is an optical sensor with very low consumption, allowing an enhanced mobile autonomy for the TazPos and it also proposes certified FAP 20 standard providing large sensor scanning area for higher quality fingerprint images.
