Automated Power Saving by Smart Sleep Mode

When it comes to mobile authentication, power consumption  economy really matters compare to those conventional PC-based fingerprinting. In other words, lower power consumption will  result longer operation time of mobile fingerprinting system. 

Thanks to Xperix’s proprietary Smart Sleep technology, the  new BioMini Slim 2 now consumes up to 97% less power than  competitors. Under Smart Sleep mode, the scanner automatically  turned on with ‘capture’ command and automatically back to  sleep when the capture process is done. As a result, when on  standby, the BioMini Slim 2 only consumes 7mA of power while  competitors’ scanners consumes 110mA to 240ma.


Seamless Scanner Operation

As USB ports on Android devices basically designed for memory  and charging, some Android device limits power supply to its USB  slave devices under 100mA.
This often result failure in operation  when fingerprint scanners are hooked on Android devices. Hence  the low-power consumption feature of BioMini Slim 2 not only  increases operating time but also improves stability in operation  regardless of your device type.
